MY STORY

A long time ago, I walked into a coffee shop and remember feeling really overwhelmed by the buzzing atmosphere. The chatter, the laughter and the overpowering aroma of coffee beans...I was hooked.

As the years went by I fell more in love with coffee. I educated myself on everything related to coffee, developing an understanding of the entire product life-cycle; from seed to the final sip from a coffee cup. That's the thing about coffee...you are never done learning; it is a true craft.

Many coffee machines where bought over those years along with many different bags of coffee beans.

For me, it's more than just about the coffee though. What drives me is making the best coffee I can make in a coffee bar with great vibes; it's that atmosphere. And that's what AL'S COFFEE is all about.

AL’S COFFEE was established in 2015.

On a summer’s day in 2015, I bought an old, italian,1977 Piaggio Ape. It was a complete hunk of junk. Over the next few months I worked day and night on that little cart and when it was finished, I remember looking at it and thinking…wow…I actually did it. AL'S COFFEE has grew from that italian coffee cart to a quirky, vibing and unique coffee bar.

AL’S COFFEE Bar is a one-of-a-kind. Tucked away under a yew tree at Lion's Gate, Mussenden Temple, the coffee bar is right on the door-step of one of the most popular tourist attractions in Northern Ireland.

We have also started an exciting new chapter in the AL'S COFFEE journey. We've expanded to one of the most beautiful country parks in Northern Ireland, Roe Valley Country Park.
